(In Irish). This short paper makes three new observations about
the syntactic systems of
various Irish dialects: the presence of SOV
patterns in nonfinite clauses in Munster
varieties, the (optional)
absence of transitivity marking under WH-movement of the object,
and
the behaviour of inherently impersonal verbs in periphrastic tenses.
The paper appeared
in Ériu 49: 165169 (1998).
